How do we extract curves and other geometries from an “ElementCurveReference”?
I got that data type by using a Select Element reference node, which allows me to pick a family instance in the model, but then there seem to be no other nodes that manage that data type?

Can you show your workflow and the output values from each node?
Try searching the library for ‘elementcurvereference’ as it may provide the hint you need.

I used the “Select Reference on Element” node to obtain that weird data type.
I didn’t have to, though, and using the regular “Select Element” node is doing what I need.
However, I was interested in understanding what this data type is (GeometryReferences?) and if there was any documentation about it.

you can get the element referance by using one of these nodes
these node from Brimohareb pak.
Geometry References and how I’ve used them in the past were to automate the placement of dimension strings.
