Face vs Surface in Dynamo

Hi,
Maybe a silly question but could someone help me out to understand face and surface in dynamo. To me, i can’t distinguish one from another.
Any help will be appreciated!

hmmm… surface you can create by curves and points. faces you get from geometry elements. I am sure there are also mathematical and philosphical explanations

Surface is a flat topology geometry (like a flat Solid)
Face is a geometry that hosted on a topology (Surface, Solid, TSpline)
