Exporting coordinates of building pads using Dynamo

Hello!

I have created an excavation plan in Revit using building pads from Massing & Site. Now, I want to export the coordinates of the pads to an Excel CSV file.
I have tried several approaches such as family.getinstance & element.getlocation. But, none of these work.
Can someone please help me out?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Welcome to the forum!
Can you share your script or an image you have so far?

Hi!

Thanks so much for your time and helping me out.

I ran the script and it worked! I exported a CSV file and had my x y z coordinates. I just don’t understand why there are so many columns of x y z. Shouldn’t there just be 3 columns? What am I missing here? I’m attaching the picture of the csv file.

Thanks!

@Khan486 You need to transpose your lists to get X, Y, and Z columns in Excel:
