[element in different location] Hello everyone, i am trying to get element location from linked model, but it placed far from the model. i realized it is due to internal origin mismatch, but i dont know how to solve it. if anyone knows about it please help me. thanks in advance

apply an additional transform. u get that from the link instance itself if remember correctly. also, i believe there are some utility nodes from a package called bimorph that handle this.

why are you all focusing on copy to active document? is that what you really after?

Thanks. actually i am a beginner in this field. i tried your script, it copy the elements from the model, but i want only location. finally i translate geometry and i got the location. i really apricate your effort and once again thank you very much.

Bimorph nodes v2.2 adds holistic support for linked-element clash detection with new LinkElement nodes - Packages - Dynamo

things might change over the years, but i believe bimorph was the go-to option for such a problem.
