Hello. First some quick background: running Revit 2023 (v2.13) with DynaSpace 0.7.51 and Generative Design 2.0.10. Revit is most recent version I can get through my employer and for DynaSpace just did my best with info at hand to get the most recent version compatible with my Revit version. So I am unfortunately not running the most recent version of DynaSpace either.
My trouble: My Engine.Execute node, all outputs return “null” and hence I am not able to create a generative design study. Including a screenshot. After some fiddling with the input Excel spreadsheet and lists I got it to display the space bubbles correctly, but thats where my success ended. I have not edited the input spreadsheet from the example so to my knowledge it should contain all necessary columns. Anyone have ideas as to why the outputs are all null and how to go about fixing it? I have not been able to find any documentation (direct link to docs via Dynamo appears broken ) on the node, so it’s difficult for me to tell exaclty how the in/out should be formulated for correct behaviour. thank you
Is it possible to see the rest of the script or can you share it so that I can give it a test? It is hard to see whole scenario here. You may try to take out the python script from the package node anbd connect the inputs correctly and maybe you can get a clue on what is causing the issue by checking the warning on Python Script.
I am not able to share anything created during the course of my work because of confidentiality requirements, but i should be able to now given I am only using the provided example script in the public github repo and and proprietary data. The example script doesn’t contain any python scripts that I am aware of, only Dynamo graph nodes. Example script and associated example excel sheet is here at the authors repo: DynaShape/Examples/DynaSpace at main · LongNguyenP/DynaShape (github.com) thanks!!
Possible, yes. We don’t have a reference for what you’ve tried though. Best to start a new topic though as this one is solved, including a reference for what you’ve tried and where you’re stuck.
Be sure to translate your post into English using an online translator of your choice, including the original text after a separation if so desired. Sadly this is a must to make search work (otherwise I’d only post in Swedish).
