Dynamo Player automatically selects elements for me and has no pop up for user input

I have a problem where if I run my script through dynamo player it does not ask me for my input to pick model elements or change certain variables, instead it will automatically selects my model lines as an element and run the script with pre-existing numeric values.

Please help.

Rightclick on the node and set it as “input”. Not all nodes have this option.
For example: use “string node” for text input
