Dynamo Forma connection now in Open Beta

Hello world of dynamo :waving_hand:

We are incredibly excited to announce that the Dynamo-Forma connection is now in Open Beta Moving on from a Closed Beta for the Dynamo Service (Otherwise known as Dynamo-as-a-Service, or DaaS) announced at AU2024 last year we have now shifted into full open-beta :open_hands:

So what does this actually mean? No longer do you have so sign-up to a beta portal and authenticate in; it just works for all users of Forma once you install the Dynamo Player plug-in #easyStreet

There are a few UI changes to the Player experience to go along with this, which you can read about in our new Dynamo Primer section here: Dynamo in Forma Beta | Dynamo #knowledgeIsPower :books:

In the Primer section you can also explore how to:

  1. Set up Dynamo Player in Forma :new_button:
  2. Add and Share Graphs in Dynamo Player :closed_mailbox_with_raised_flag:
  3. Run Graphs in Dynamo Player :radio_button:
  4. Dynamo compute service differences with Desktop Dynamo :cloud:

Do note that currently you still need to author Dynamo graphs in a desktop variant (dynamo Sandbox, or Dynamo Revit, Dynamo Civil 3D etc.) but we are starting to work on a Web Authoring experience to make this fully native #nextStepInTheJourney

All of the 9x Sample Graphs have also been updated and upgraded - they look fancy and have notes added throughout them. When you open to peek inside they will illustrate how to work with Forma elements, Sun Analysis and more. There are also some great Custom Nodes (DYFs) in the DynamoFormaBeta package that also showcase how to work with Forma content.

So come take her for a spin, bring your wonderful ideas to Forma and tell us all about them! :star_struck:
