Hello, everyone, actually I want to download Revit 2025 so, is dynamo working well or its still updating and better to download 2024 ?
Dynamo is inbuilt in Revit from 2020 onwards if that’s where you are running it. No need to download dynamo specifically unless you are using sandbox.
Most new updates are happening in 2025. If you can afford to use revit 2025 itll be better, but with some netcore hangover here and there.
Thank you Gavin …. Actually i have the license from the company i work with but i was want to know if all packages work well with it .
Only some will, as many are not maintained anymore and depend on ironpython vs cpython or might be C# packages still built against net framework4.8.
No guarantees.
Hi @gkhalifah,
As Dynamo is getting faster performance wise and introducing new features, extensions and nodes, it is worth to work with the latest version if you do not have any limitation. Since Dynamo is not backward compatible, file sharing can be a challenge if other people are using older versions of Dynamo.
Related to packages, you can use some of packages that are not updated by installing DynamoIronPython 2.7 package in Dynamo 3.0 and further versions that comes with Revit 2025. Furthermore, you can check this discussion to see which package is compatible with which version of Dynamo. It will help you decide better.
We have also updated our package management experience starting with Dynamo Core 3.4. Currently, it works in Dynamo Sandbox 3.4 and further versions. This version of Dynamo Core has not been integrated yet to Revit. With this update, if the package author updated their package information about version combabilities, you can see which version of package works with your current Dynamo version on the Package Manager window. The new install button will set the package version that is compatible with your current Dynamo version, automatically. Here, you can find more information about this.
