This Challenge is now over - a massive thanks to all who submitted their entries for the Dynamo Furniture Design challenge, and we can’t wait to see what beautiful, funky and ergonimic(ish) stuff you have all come up with

All graphs will become available after the close of the voting session in the Challenge Library as well as present in this thread, so that you can inspect each DYN file to help you choose your favorite! You can vote based on any criteria you like: Beauty, ergonomics, creativity, left-field answers or any other criteria!

Entry 01: "3D Printed T-Spline Chair"

A chair, used a couple of times as an introduction to Dynamo and 3D printing for students.

Entry 02: "Sliced Sofa"

Blurb:
With a bit of prompting I threw together an entry for this competition… It’s a bit more stable in Grasshopper, but managed to get it to almost work in Dynamo eventually. Might be interesting for users to see both the Gh/Dyn so they can see how the same outcome is achieved in different visual programming setups.

Effectively it takes a few profile curves based on some inputs to generate loft moments and then slice that loft into blades. Not the most original idea, but probably one that I think would help some users trying to create this type of outcome (forms to blades). A few weird things going on, but almost works…

Entry 03: "Gravity Well Pendant and 2D to 3D Space Table"

Blurb:
Here are my two entries into this competition.

Gravity Well Pendant
1 - A Pendant light fitting that is shaped using the distortion in space, the gravitational well, of an object. Colors and object mass distortion size are parametric as to maintain compatibility with the Feng-Shui of your room.

2D to 3D Space Table
2 - A table that embodies the projection of a 2 dimensional plane onto a 3 dimensional support base. Could also be good as a light fitting if you turn it upside-down

Entry 04: "Wavy Sofa"

Blurb:
Just an odd sofa with wavy seating to allow at least 3 people to sit at different elevations. Could be used as furniture at public places like malls
