I am trying to create an automation script from dynamo like the command “connect into” while connecting the duct with an air terminal. But since last 2 days every attempt has been a failure. I cannot give the screenshot of the script that I worked earlier because somehow it got deleted and I forgot to save it (multiple files were open). But this is what I am trying to achieve. Please help me
OpenMEP & MEPover get you covered.
can you tell me specifically which node. I tried for it but to no avail. I am confused in some nodes as of now.
Hi something here should do it, here with taps
Can you tell me the name of the plugin used for the “SOVI Element Connector”?
yeah sure its just some private dyf i have made for practice, just use element connector node from mepover the connect mepcurves is from genius loci, and the rest is from mepover, but you can use openmep as well , there is some similar nodes but written in csharp
can you share me the script if possible?
i dont have it, i just made it as a test and dont save it…try you can create it and if you go stuck then just show us where and we will be happy to help
so i tried everything according to your steps. it came out something like this
Can you please tell me where i am doing it wrong,
no…but if you can share a rvt sample with one main duct and 2 branch as what you try, we can take a look
nvm. i got it. Solved the issue myself. Thank you for your help.!
So I have another issue where I am trying to add multiple ducts and terminals at once. Can it be possible with the script given in the solution? I tried to do that with the same thing. At first the results came as required but after some more usages, new problems occurred where the ducts were created as required but with no connection to the air terminals.
Hi @bppanda i can take a look in next week, i am on vacation now, easter holiday.. so not in dynamo, but guess its just about pair duct, terminal up the right way
