Detail Number by Viewport Location (Share)

Hello all,

I am sharing a script to Renumber all placed views on a sheet. My firm numbers sheets from top right to bottom left (not CAD standards A1-D6) or bottom left to top right.

If you too are numbering views in this way give this script a shot and let me know how it works. If you encounter any problems or make tweaks post back so we can make the script better. I have only ran this on select few sheets so far. (I hope there are no bugs)

Change Detail Number of Viewport Based on Location on Sheet

Hi, I am looking to change the detail number of a viewport based on its location on a sheet. The template for sheets provides a grid (1-6) on the x-axis and (A-E) on the y-axis. Depending on which space (A1, B1, C2, D6, etc.) the viewport title of a specific view on a sheet lands, I would like the detail number to reflect that space. Automatically renumber detail views by location (help)

Hi all, I’m trying to create a graph to collect the viewport locations in a given sheet and then renumber the detail view according their location on sheet. So far I can collect the viewports and their centroid location.
