DBX Document turns null

Dear Dynamo users, I am trying to get the location and name of some Autocad block references to place families on the same spot. The Cad file is linked into Revit and the proposed workflow in Dynamo is by using the linkdwg nodes. First node: GetCOMAnnotationsByObjectDBX and it turns null. Is there something profoundly wrong? Is there any workaround? Thanks in advance

Hi @DimitrisC,

The easiest way is to use the Cad Block node of the Genius Loci package. No need to open Autocad anymore.

Thanks a lot for the answer. Your node seems so much simpler but the problem probably lies somewhere else.

Would this be a problem?

nope.

it just worked eventually. Thanks a million times

Dear Alban, the node works perfectly in general but there is an issue with one group of Block References. Despite being imported properly in Revit (pic1), their position is translated in dynamo as the same point (pic2). Is this something you have seen again? Is there a workaround?

Hi Dimitrios,

Please check the Autocad file. There might be a nested block (blocks within a block) and the custom node only reads the top level block.
Or the blocks have attributes and Revit can’t read them.
