Custom Reinforcement Components

Dear Expert ,

What the best way to make custom Reinforcement Components for multi span beam according to general arrangements. For example all cranked Lap splice position should be at 0.25 of span length at one side another side it should be 0.35 length of the span for additional top reinforcement. In order to do that with Revit I tried to make custom rebar family to automate cranked lap length according to the given span length and bar diameter but I got warning "you can’t driven parameters by formula . "

Could you please guide me which node do I need to use with Dynamo in order to do that .

For such things l have created Generic Models, which can be driven by formulae or created an Adaptive Component, driven by formulae. I know this is not the answer you require.
