I have a lot of families in a template, but just of them are using often. I would like to make a function which is calling defined family. Once user clicks at button, drop down menu is appearing to select necessary type of this family.
Can someone give me a hint is it possible to do it with Revit API?
Are you trying to do this in an add-in or in Dynamo? The Data-Shapes package can create a user interface for you with the dropdown. You just supply it with the list of Family Types.
