Create a closed polyline from intersecting lines

I have a case where we have 2 polylines 1 and 2.I need to create hatch when line 2 crosses line1 as per the image.I have tried something but cant join polylines which i get from intersecting points

Mostly trial and error. Lots of errors. And lots of warnings.
