Copy Custom Definitions from Old Dynamo version to New

Hi all, I have a question.

I have Dynamo 1.3.4 installed (Revit 2017) and Dynamo 2.0 (Revit 2019).
Most of our nodes are done in the old version including those custom definitions.

I try to copy over the definitions from old to the new definitions folder.
The custom nodes now can be use but the library panel is showing as Blank. (see attached image below)

But when I delete the contents of definitions folder in the new version, library panel goes back to normal.
I try opening the custom node in Dynamo 2.0 and then use save as to save to the definitions folder and it works fine.

However, I have many custom nodes and doing this save as thing one by one is tedious.

can you guys suggest better solution?

Just noticed when i save something in the “definitions” folder, Library Panel is gone.
Even when i open the custom node and use “Save As” to the definitions folder.

Try downloading from package manager instead of copying from old to new.

what version of Dynamo 2.x are you using? I would try updating to the latest 2.0.4 for 2019.

@jacob.small those are custom nodes…

Dynamo Core 2.0.2.6826
Dynamo Revit 2.0.2.6833

Thanks will suggest that to out IT Dept.
For the meantime, do you happen to know any fix aside from updating?

Custom nodes not in a package? Why not package them?

mmm… I haven’t think of that.
So if I package them, it might solve my problem then…
