Control Instance Parameter of Panels in Divided Surface

Hi there,

 

I am wanting to test an idea. I have a divided surface (with a curtain panel family and instance parameter for width) which I want to use a point attractor concept to control the aperture of the panels. How do I select these panels in Dynamo? I can only seem to select the entire divided surface, not the individual panels within it (like I can in Revit by ‘tabing’ to it).

Or is there a better method to do this. Create the pattern by points and use an adaptive component?

Hi Matthew,

Have you tried selecting your panels with the “All Elements of Family Type” node? Once you have them selected, you could use the usual “Element.SetParameterByName” to overwrite their custom width.
