Good morning, I have to model cabletray in a 4km long tunnel. How can I do this?
Is there a dynamo script that can help me?
Thanks
Hi Benedetta, welcome
Please take the time to read the forum FAQs
Start by getting the tunnel alignment and then work out your offset relative to the line coordinate system. It might also be possible to create a polyline with points, translate the Z value and then offset in the xy plane to the cable tray position.
Then use a CableTray.ByLines node - working example here
Hi Mike, thank you for the answer.
I tried the script but I can’t find these nodes.
Can you tell me in which package I find them?
Thank you.
They are there as part of the core nodes just that they have been renamed. Try searching for “Element Classes” and “All Elements of Class”
Ok. I try the scrip shared here but this is the result
I don’t know why that node is purple.
can you tell me why?
thanks
When taking screen shots of the workspace, you can zoom in so that the nodes are readable and use Workspace from Export as Image menu
The overlay indicates the status of a node when they are small - the purple indicates it is from a package
Have a look at https://primer2.dynamobim.org
