Best Practice for updates to graphs, packages, and Revit versions

I have built out my tools in Dynamo version 2.12 and havent updated some of my packages in a while. I want to update my packages to the current versions for 2.12, and also port my work to 2023 and the new dynamo version.

What is the best practice for this? do graphs just need to be manually picked through and fixed or is there a better way?

It depends on the package authors.

The main one I know of that is very specific re: Revit version is ArchiLab.

So here are my (early test) results with some of the packages I use often:

Compatible with Revit 2021-2023 (some require IronPython package)

  • Spring Nodes
  • Clockwork for Dynamo 2.x
  • GeniusLoci
  • BIMorph Nodes
  • Rhythm
  • Wombat

Specific Version per Revit Version

  • ArchiLAB
  • Lunchbox (with some added difficulty as it is not on the package manager any more)
