Just came back across this on the list of posts and realized how MUCH this guide has propelled my Dynamo ZTN and then Revit Add-In knowledge. I now fully support a Ribbon Tab with more than 40 distinct tools on it that are used by multiple disciplines on a daily basis!

Thanks again @Thomas_Mahon!

Cheers mate, that’s great to hear! I hosted the same lab at AU London this week and mentioned the concepts and knowledge could easily be applied to Revit addin development too :+1:

Hi.
Thank you for this guide.
I am on page 14 Step 3 Create Custom Package JSON.
This does not detail where to save this file. Is it in the Dynamo folder or the ZeroTouchNode development folder?.
What should the json file be called?
Thank you.

Save it wherever and then add it in the location specified. This will copy the file to where your ZT project is saved.

the Visual studio 2022 does not gives the option for use managed compatibility mode so does it effect workflow?

No as its been depreciated in VS2022. Its on by default, just make sure Enable Just My Code option is on.
