Automation of 3d model and information from revit using dynamo

Hello,
I recently studied about the Thesis work of a Masters Student “Automation of information flow from Revit to BSIM using dynamo” where he tried and executed the automation of information from Revit to BSIM by automating data extraction to excel as an xlsx file. I am relatively new to dynamo and I would like to know if 3d objects like doors and windows can be converted to ifc from revit using dynamo by automation so that it can be read in a third party reader? Thanks!!
