Appearance Asset nodes not working with newer 'Advanced Material' assets in Revit

The nodes relating to AppearanceAssets don’t seem to work with materials that use the newer ‘Advanced Materials’ Revit assets.

Specifically, I’m having issues with the ‘GetRenderingAssetTextureImages’ node returning null values for any materials that use advanced material assets.

Not sure if anyone has encountered this already & if there are any fixes or work-arounds.

Appreciate any help or insight!

Hi @joejaludi,

You can use the numerous custom nodes from the Genius Loci package for materials and appearance assets.
They probably take into account more cases than OOTB nodes even though they were written longer ago.

Thanks @Alban_de_Chasteigner for the quick response!

The GeniusLoci nodes were successful in getting material texture image information for the newer advanced materials in Revit!

Unfortunately the GeniusLoci ‘Chang Texture Path’ node’s limitation of only accessing the main texture image isn’t as successful as the OOTB nodes were in this regard.
But I think that’s a problem for another post…

Thank you again!
