Dear Forum Members.
I have Pulled out Pile_Id from revit in the other hand i have imported a excel file where it has a completed status report so how update a parameter in revit with matching ID using excel pile ids.
Use the forum search- there must be many posts on this- for example: Get matching item from one list and set a corresponding value per a schedule legend
Several ways to do it- but I suggest a dictionary is easiest
Sorry you didnt understand the question it seems for set parameter by name i have to give a element as a input but before that i want to match the excel ids with revit ids attached snaps for your reference.
Have you tried the “Element By Id” node? plug your ids from excel into this and there you have the elements
Leaving this here
Here is an example with pandas
Do try what i have indicated above in my earlier post, it will mean your script should end up as follows
This error is indicating that soemwhere in that list flatten you have a value which isn’t a word, number, unique ID, or element id.
Scroll though the list of 92 items in the List.Flatten and see that everything is a blue number with no decimal point; if you have any gaps (things that look like what is inside these quotes " ") or other objects you’ll have to clean them up. Oftentimes the gaps come from reading excel data sets where the size of activated cells on the sheet exceed the length of the data; You can filter those out or use a List.Clean to just remove them from the dataset - just be sure you remove evenly across all data points (i.e. do it right after reading the excel data).
The thing is its not a Element ID its Pile ID i have a paramter called pile id in revit suppose 500 and same in excel i have 100 pile id which its status is completed in excel so i have to filter the pile id from revit where it matched with the completed pile id which is excel …hope now you will understand this
How are you managing the situation where someone has modified a pile ID due to a design change or model update?
