Tags from revit 2023 to revit 2022 using dynamo

Hello all,

Is there a way we can transfer the tags from revit 2023 to revit 2022 using dynamo ? if so please could you please share the script here?

Are you wanting to transfer tag families/tags from R2023 to R2022? Dynamo can only do what Revit allows. Revit doesn’t allow backwards compatibility or downgrading, so Dynamo can’t automate it.

You could potentially use Dynamo to read all your tag family and type properties to an Excel file and then a second script to recreate all those families again in an earlier version, but that still feels inefficient and complicated.

@Nick_Boyts yes i want to transfer the mep tags from revit 2023 to revit 2022, the tags are already saved in a later version of revit 2023 , i need to get the tags in revit 2022

Your best bet is to manually recreate them. Like I said, there is now downgrading in Revit. Even if you could automate part of the process, there can sometimes be compatibility issues.
