I have been trying to create a DirectShape in Revit using the DirectShape.ByGeometry node from the Springs package, but the output shows “null.” Additionally, the node information shows that both the input and output buttons are “none.” Could this be an issue with the package installation, or is there something else that might be causing the problem?
Hello @Mathan you are not alone with that node in 2024…you could try OOTB or synthezise toolkits…as its actuelly spring node but fixed for 2024…but should work in other version…but for 23-24 you will need dynamoironpython package 2.7 version 2.5 installed as well
Thank you. Now it is working, but there is no option to apply materials in this node, which I can do using the Revit DirectShape.ByGeometry node.
yes true…you dont have material paremeter with spring and synthezise
or you could try brepshape guess there you can set material…
When I use BrepShape, I encounter a traceback error “[ [ Traceback (most recent call last): File “”, line 73, in NewDS_R17 Exception: Please finish the previous loop by calling FinishLoop() before adding a new one. Parameter name: faceId ] ]”
allright havent tried…i will take a look later, which revit version are you in ?
I am using Revit 2024 version
