I am not sure if this or a similar topic has been covered yet but I was wondering if anyone knew of any workflows or plug ins that can take an excel data sheet of: date, time, azimuth, altitude (see attached example) and use it to create shadow studies in Revit, showing an existing shadow condition in one color and showing shadows created (by new building) in another color (see attached example).
The current workflow we have been using to generate these studies is by setting two plan views, one with existing context, one with new context (addition of proposed building), setting the two views to specified altitude and azimuth sun locations based on different times of the year in the graphic display settings, and overlaying the two views to create a single image showing existing shadows and gained shadows. I was hoping to find a way to automate this process in Dynamo.
