In principle the node will always attempt to extract the curves on the host plane of the DWG. If it cant determine the plane, or if the curve is in 3D space, then it will extract the plane hosting the curve (this is probably better described as the curves ‘plane’!) and use that to host the Revit (or Dynamo) equivalent. View-specific CAD files are not flattened and retain any 3D information.
