Select item(s) within assemblies

Hello All,

I was wondering if there is a way to select an item (by category or by partial name maybe?)) within an assembly?

here is my situation, i have several assemblies which are made up of elements from 2 categories (“structural connections” & “generic models”). i would like to select all the “generic models” within each assembly. so far i am only able to select the assemblies themselves but i do not know how to select the elements within the assemblies. here is the list of assemblies i am able to generate.

As always i appreciate the assistance.

I suppose you should directly look for Structural Connections and Generic Models

The components within the assemblies are also listed when you do so.

However, I’m not sure if you can proceed to group them by the assemblies to which they belong.

Hi Andre,

Vikram is right you can use “Category node” for your specific category and then filter by “Assemblies”. See below example.
