Select Duct/Pipe with closest Point

Hi All,

I have a script that will create 45 or 90 offsets for duct/pipe connection. My current script and process Is to SelectModelElement of duct/pipe and then select the duct/pipe Surface.Point. The issue with selecting the duct/pipe is that the start and endpoint is not fixed, That is why I have to select the surface point as the reference point. I want to remove the step select Surface.Point is there a node to do that?
