I have tried this with Python, Native Dynamo nodes, and custom package nodes. I keep getting this same warning when attempting to collect elements by category. Anyone ever run in to this problem? Do you have any solutions?
I solved it. Leaving this up in case anyone else runs in to it. Its Forma. Imported context buildings from Forma break the collector.
Hi @J_Sanford how did you import the Forma context buildings?
I used the forma Revit plugin to get site buildings and topo. Forma created the buildings from open street I think? And the topo from GIS data.
Can you post or share a link to the Revit model?
@J_Sanford what version of Revit, Dynamo, and the Addin are you using?
no I cant unfortunately.
Revit 2024.3 Dynamo, 2.17 I think. Forma plugin is integrated in the Revit install as of 2024.
If needed the development team can reach out to exchange content if you’d want to set up some manor of an NDA situation. I only ask as we haven’t been able to reproduce this so indicating ‘forma add-in’ doesn’t really help them solve this for the community or future you (where disabling the add-in or removing the geometry may not be an option). Feel free to DM Mike, Sol or I if you’d prefer to talk there.
Let me see if I can put together a stripped down model that isolates the area.
