Hi - The structure of my Visual Studio solution is causing this multi-level tree that leads to the two nodes that I have created. Is there any way to simplify this so that Multiply and Get Projects are at the top and the other branches are hidden?

You can add a PackageName_DynamoCustomization.xml file as discussed here:
