Place two families in same space, shift one of them

I have a simple script that places a family in every space of my model. This same script can also place multiple families in the same space, but they will be on top of each other.

I am having trouble trying to shift one of them upon placement into Revit so that it ends up next to the first family and not on top of it.

The first two attempts were at the family itself, I just applied this thought process to tweaking the centroid node BEFORE the family placement and it is doing what I want. Any feedback here would still be appreciated.
