Paint surface by parameter

Hi All,
Using Revit 2019, I found this post to add paint surfaces- Paint Material Surface - #14 by MartinSpence However it works only for materials.

Is it at all possible to apply a paint parameter instead? I tried playing around with that python script but I don’t really know what I’m doing there

So, the method is exposed, you need the parameter and the associated material…Paint Method (ElementId, Face, FamilyParameter)
