hello, greetings to all. i would like to know if it is possible to add labels to pressure pipes with dynamo? if so, would anyone have any tips on how to do this?
Prior to 2025.1 you can use Civil3D Toolkit for this. There are many examples of this on the forum already so I recommend you have a look to see what your options are.
From 2025.1 and on you may have options in the default library - best to give it a shot and see where you get.
My civil 3d is 2025.1 I tried and failed with the standard library, I’m trying one in python, but when I run the addpressureplanlabel command, I can’t select the object automatically.
Best to post what you tried then, so that the development team can track the introduced gap and plan for a resolution or let you know that none is coming. FYI @zachri.jensen.
I don’t recommend developing for Civil 3D with Python, as the lack of functional with statements and wrappers makes it quite painful for stuff like this. Moving to C# will likely be easier.
In anycase, best to post your code so that others can help, otherwise you’re only asking someone in the community to write this for you, and unless we have which is a big lift, and the resulting node likely won’t handle inputs the way which you planned.
This is coming up on the roadmap, I believe it’s supposed to mimic the ‘add labels’ dialog as shown in the thumbnail, no clue when it’ll make it to an update though.
