Is it possible to Extract Import Instances from Revit to DWG?

Does anyone know if this is even possible? Looked at a few different DWG packages and the API forums, but don’t seem to find anything related to extracting an embedded DWG import back out to a native AutoCAD DWG format.

I do not know if there is a good way to it but you could hide isolate the CAD import in a view and export to DWG.

Sorry thats all I got off the top of my head,

Yep thats the best way IMO. An imported DWG is effectively a Revit element even if its not exploded (technically it is ‘exploded’ as soon as you import it, its just repackaged as an import instance for convenience).
