It’s as easy as getting Python going… actually easier in many ways. In particular in this instance you can take advantage of the code samples provided with Revit or the Dynamo for Revit repository to basically get code you can copy/paste and use. You will have to get an IDE installed (i.e. visual studio or similar).
However to get that code into Dynamo you have to build and deploy a package. If you can’t download a package like say Rhythm or Archi-Lab or GeniusLoci or Clockwork or one of the many tools on package manager, then whatever package is provided via the forum would also not work.
