I have a dynamo script where I can color my elements based on parameters. Now i want to share my model with the coloring via IFC with other architects.
Is it posible to export the colors in to an IFC?
as far as i know there is no IfcMaterialOverride parameter available. i would make a detached model and change the material for the elements with the script.

That won’t do the trick because a material could have multiple colors
If a material has a different colour, it is a different material. My best guess would be to give them a filterable property then look into native IFC viewer override capabilities in regards to colouring by properties etc.
I’d suggest taking this to the BuildingSmart forums as they will probably know more about viewing and IFC properties specifically versus dynamo.

The color has nothing to do with the actual material of the element but shows the value of a custom parameter. The elements in the picture are all precast concrete elements but could have a different value in my custom parameter

Or an alternative option (so no IFC). Use Shared Views.
