How to replace nulls in a list (spreadsheet from Excel)

Hello again…
I am now trying to get Dynamo to ignore “nulls” in my list (spreadsheet info), because it would be almost impossible to go into the spreadsheet and replace the empty cells with something else (such as “.” or other small symbols). Additionally, I know that once it begins reading it goes on beyond my limits and finds “nulls” there as well. I looked at the Chop node, but couldn’t make heads or tails from it.
In the example images here, my spreadsheet is extremely simple – if cell A1 has the “x” in it, then the Dynamo script works fine. If I leave it empty, I get the error that says it does not like “nulls”. I have read many articles and suggestions today regarding extra-package nodes and such, but I have had no success. Understand as well that I use the AutoCAD Civil3D package add-on, so nothing needs to conflict with that.

ReplaceByCondition not working on empty list

Hi Paul, The out of the box node requires an applicable Function to be passed into the condition input to work. While the List.IsEmpty node returns a function, its condition isn’t met as the result will be True or False, and the List.Empty node doesn’t return a function as it has no input ports.
