In the family editor there is a function “link connectors”.
For a tee, I can only link 2 connectors, the third one remains unconnected and gets the null value.
Hola Amiga @Maria_Vasilyeva como estas? Bienvenida a la comunidad, que agradable sorpresa saber que tambien hay Ingenieras MEP en el foro!!
It is a normal behavior in the connectors, if I remember well the connectors allow to create systems and align the different elements correctly, what I do is to join those that are aligned on the same axis and the extra one works as a derivation, which is the real objective of the “T” derivations.
Maybe you would like to read the product documentation about it, I also found a similar solved case for a particular case, very similar to your question at Autodesk Help!
I’m afraid there’s been a little misunderstanding. Actually, I would like to get the LinkedConnector property for the tee element exactly in the project. To determine which part of the tee (the “T” derivation or one of the parts which are aligned on the same axis) the next pipe is connected to.
In Revit LookUp this property is hidden here: select an element in project (the tee) – MechanicalFitting – ConnectorManager – ConnectorSet – MEPFamilyConnectorInfo – LinkedConnector property.
But I found a solution to the problem bypassing this property.
Thanks for the reply. In any case, the link to the forum Autodesk turned out to be quite interesting.
Cool, Glad to hear you were able to solve it, I see you handle the subject even better than me, anyway if you are looking to play with connectors and MEP themes, the OpenMep package is the one, it’s very complete!
