How to create Duct from Lines?

What am I doing wrong here ? I would like to create a string of rectangular ducts either joined together or a set of individual pieces.

I have a single line layout using detail lines (Wide Lines) to generate a string of lines for one input and an alternate input of lines generated by a grid in dynamo, but in both case it only generates one piece of duct, what am I missing ?

You need to select the modeled piece of duct in the model, before running the graph.

Revit is 2019.

Hi @r.lietz,

I think it’s just a matter of lacing on the DuctRectangular.ByLines node:

Oh my goodness Martin,

Tripped up by the old lacing in the dark trick - assumed “Cross Product” at least that worked.

Good ol lacing

Goes to show you Donald was right, that’s Rumsfeld of course, “there are also unknown unknowns—the ones we don’t know we don’t know”, with the potential of failure being catastrophic, especially if it’s sutures.

Maybe it’s just me, but one should think there were more urgent matters to do scientific studies about :joy: :joy:

But cheers for the read
