How to Copy/duplicate Shaft Openings from Linked file

Dear all,
From the previous discussions around this, I came up to this (Please see screen shot).
Option-1 - I tried to change the color of the shaft openings from the linked file - Failed
Option-2 - I just tried that I can convert the bounding box of the Shaft openings as a rectangle in to my file, But don’t know how to proceed.
Please help!!
