I’m working on a Civil 3D Dynamo workflow and have successfully automated the process from Alignment creation all the way through Sample Lines and Section Views.
At this point, I’m trying to extend the workflow to include Compute Materials and Volume Tables, but I’m running into difficulties.
I haven’t been able to find any Dynamo nodes that handle these operations directly. I’ve also tried using Python scripts and the Civil 3D API, but so far I haven’t been able to achieve the desired result.
Has anyone successfully automated Compute Materials and Volume Tables in Civil 3D using Dynamo or Python? If so, could you share your approach, recommended nodes/packages, or any examples?
My goal is to continue my existing workflow—which currently runs successfully from Alignment to Section Views—and add the Compute Materials and Volume Table steps to make the entire process fully automated.
Any suggestions, experiences, or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
