Assuming you’re trying to automate dimensions with this (if not I may be misunderstanding your intent)… if the wall is a funny shape, wouldn’t you want to dimension the funny shape?
I mean Ideally. But generally most curtain walls are square in my practice so might not be worth the hassle to figure out.
For instance this one has a point at the top of it you would have to dimension too if that’s possible. I think just getting an overall and the curtain grids is good for me… On the correct side! 
If people have some odd shaped stuff they can fix it up
your putting ideas in my head now that might be fun to figure out but its so uncommon I come across these
Yep edited profiles are what we’d call a fringe case. They’re the bane of automators.
Maybe try the collect sketch node from Springnodes and see if that helps - I believe that returns profile outlines of walls.
