Good day with everyone.
This time I am trying to rotate my structural columns in the direction of the detail lines that I use as a trajectory but it seems that I am not getting the angle correctly because in some cases it works well and in others it does not. I would be very grateful if you could help me.
Thanks for sharing but apparently it only rotates based on its axis, in my case I want to rotate it based on the guide line that I am using as a base… I don’t know if I understand
Good morning.
Thanks for responding.
I have used your method with the “ELEMENT SET ROTATION” node but there is an error within that code or at least it gave me an error, it happens that when I have a georeferenced project and I have many structural columns for some reason one of those structural columns is not It can be located at the defined point, on the contrary, it can be located at another point outside the trajectory of the baseline, this is a problem that I read in another publication where so far no one has been able to give it a solution, which is why I use “FamilyInstance.SetRotation”, but if I apply your procedure and use the angle obtained in the “FamilyInstance.SetRotation” node, the desired result is not obtained. Apparently the angle obtained is not the expected one and gives another result, could you please use the node “FamilyInstance.SetRotation”
