Actually @Kulkul suggested a node in this thread https://forum.dynamobim.com/t/place-space-name-and-number-of-area-served-by-vav-into-vav-mechanical-equipment-parameter/8740/2. His suggestion for Element.Space bypasses having to create the geometry to see if it intersects. This was a great suggestion.
