Dynamo Script to extract 3D solids from multiple corridors with shapes codes as layers

Here we go with the second session, and this one’s a biggie!
This script automates the tedious, click-heavy task of creating 3D solids from multiple corridors—all in one smooth go!
Create solids for all corridors.dyn (40.9 KB)

After getting plenty of requests from friends and colleagues, I decided to take up the challenge and build this time-saving script. The result? A Dynamo workflow that pulls 3D solids from all your corridors and places them neatly on their respective shape code layers. :bullseye:

:wrench: What we’ll cover in this session:
:one: Read all corridors from the drawing :triangular_ruler:
:two: Extract baselines from each corridor :motorway:
:three: Read and organize all shape codes :input_latin_letters:
:four: Perform list operations on shape code data :abacus:
:five: Extract solids, structure them in nested lists based on shape codes :brick:
:six: Convert Dynamo geometry to AutoCAD 3D solids & assign to correct layers

Let’s keep learning and pushing the limits of what Dynamo can do in Civil 3D! :rocket:
