Dynamo Day Hackathon @ DevCon 2026

Hey Dynamo folks :waving_hand:

The Dynamo Hackathon is officially returning to DevCon and we’re kicking things off one day before the conference with a full day of hands-on hacking and building together.

:date: When: April 14, 2026 (Pre-conference day); 8.00 am – 5.00pm, followed by social networking
:round_pushpin: Where: Amsterdam, the Netherlands
:memo: Register here: Link

:money_with_wings: Cost:

  • FREE for DevCon registrants. If you have registered for DevCon, DM us for discount code. We also have limited number of discount codes for those who haven’t registered for DevCon. If you are keen to attend and the cost is holding you back, reach out to us. (@achintya_bhat and @john_pierson )

  • €100 for non-registrants

:rocket: What Are We Hacking On?

This year’s focus is all about AI, cloud workflows, and cross-platform Dynamo goodness:

:robot: AI + Dynamo

  • Dynamo MCP (Alpha)

  • Autodesk Assistant in Dynamo (Alpha)

  • Agentic Node (Alpha)

:cloud: Dynamo on the Cloud

  • Design Automation

  • Dynamo + APS (we might have some new WIP APS nodes :star_struck: )

:puzzle_piece: New Tools & Ecosystem

  • Workflows across Revit, Civil 3D, Forma, Alias

  • Data Exchange and interoperability across tools

  • And some new goodies (stay tuned) :wrapped_gift:

This is your chance to experiment, prototype, and build ideas that don’t always fit into day-to-day project work. And more than anything spends a full day with fellow Dynamo enthusiasts and meet Dynamo team members.

:brain: Team-Based Hackathon

This is a team-only event — collaboration is the whole point :flexed_biceps:

  • Already have a team? Awesome, bring them along

  • Don’t have a team yet? No worries, we’ll help you with that!

Whether you’re a beginner, Dynamo power user or developer or just an automation nerd, this hackathon is open to all things Dynamo.

More details on detailed agenda and team formation are coming soon.
For now, save the date, register, and start thinking about what you’d love to build :rocket:

second try? @Alien

I wonder how many people will attend and see if there is a trend

Sounds awesome, I’m seriously thinking about attending this year, especially since it’s right here in the Netherlands!

We don’t have visibility on that yet. But, Dynamo team members will be there, so it would be nice to meet you in person if you can make it! We are working on some cool new capabilities. :star_struck:

I don’t know yet but i don’t feel the same satisfaction when AI is solves my problems instead of doing it myself.

Don’t ask it to solve things for you, instead ask it to teach you stuff you don’t know yet.

Does it know DS? like @Vikram_Subbaiah

Not sure anything knows DS like that… But if you have the right model it does know a shockingly large amount.

Please elaborate on the right model thing

That’s gonna get quite off topic, as while someone MIGHT use this type if info in a hackathon project, it’s more likely going to be too much of a tangent.

But if someone were to start a new topic along the lines of “How do people like using AI in the context of Dynamo development” sometime TOMORROW AFTERNOON I’ll drop my thoughts and some recommendations in the thread after the clock runs out on our fiscal year.

I attended last year and honestly, it was a highlight of the conference. It’s one thing to chat on the forums, but actually being around the community hacking on projects in person is a totally different vibe. Highly recommend it to anyone on the fence.

I won’t be able to make it this year, but I know the Dynamo team will be out in force. Have a blast everyone! :rocket:

Regarding the “right model” issue, it is very important in **Dynamo**.

The majority of models can somewhat comprehend DS syntax, but they lack a thorough understanding of list@level, graph logic, and Dynamo’s relationship with Revit transactions. Outputs get hazy at that point.

Results are far better if you provide precise context (node types, inputs/outputs, Code Block vs. Python, etc.).

for a hacking event? strong aid.
for Dynamo work in production? still need a person who is really knowledgeable about their work.

I draw a sqare and upload it for XY, YZ, and XZ, why cant i get a cube. Who wants to solve that?

AI ?

Hi all :waving_hand:

Hi! I’m pretty interested in attending the MCP workshop or the Dynamo Hackaton, haven’t decided yet (both possible?). Is it possible to attend one or either of those two without the need to purchase the full conference pass?

@Johnny.pronk Yes, you can attend just the hackathon without the full conference pass. The hackthon is a full day from 8-5, while the workshop is half-day starting at 11. So, unfortunately you can’t do both, but you can pick one. There is a 100Euro ticket to just attended the pre-con events. If you are interested in the hackathon, we might be able to hook you up with discount code if you are 100% sure that you can make it happen. DM me for more details.
