Is it possible to copy nested families with dynamo? I have a precast concrete family that contains several nested fixing-anchors. In my Revit project it is not possible to copy just the anchor. When I select the anchor and try to copy it, the whole concrete family is duplicated.
I have been trying to find a way to do it with the help of Dynamo, but I can’t find it. Is there anyone who knows if this is possible at all and how I should do it?
Yes it is possible, but you will need to open the family or edit it if in a project, the get the nested family you want and copy it to where it needs to go. A python solution would be the cleanest, but check out Orchid package as it will have many nodes you will need. Also Genius Loci package I believe will help.
