Generally speaking, zerotouch nodes behave like ootb nodes by handling lists for you.
In python, you have to loop and iterate through lists and zero-touch mostly does this on its own. I say mostly because if you need to maintain specific list orders (for multiple inputs), you should build your node to take lists and work it out.
