I have reposted the question on the Revit API forums.

As for the why, I am trying to learn to use Python in Dynamo. I learn by trying to understand how everything works rather than blindly using the code I do not understand. I am trying to document my journey in hopes of building on the knowledge as I understand each piece.

RevitServices is a dynamo library, it’s not part of the Revit API - there’s no documentation besides in the inline summary tags.

For those using Visual Studo for ref’s:
